I have owned RB5#191 for two years and I owned #220 for the two years previous to that.
#191 was owned by a previous member of the owners club and after I had a crash in #220 which resulted in her being written off I got a payout and was in the market for another. So I had planned to go and view 191 on a Saturday but I received a phone call on the Thursday it was the owner and he had crashed the car. I still went to see her an I got someone to value the damage. The car was up for £13k, the damage was valued at £3k so I offered £9500 and the owner accepted.
191 went off for repair and 9 weeks later I collected her.
I found out about the club in 2003 when I was looking for a scoob and a dealer said he was getting a RB5 in, so I did some research on the interweb and thought that was the car for me. I bought 220 from a man in Tonbridge on the 22nd May 2003 I had just turned 20 and she was a great Birthday prezzie to myself. During my research I came across the club which had just been formed and I became a member straight away.
The club means such alot to me as I have met so many new friends through it. I can't go a day without going onto the forum for a catch up. It has even lead to me driving 300 miles up North to paint a house for two members who are about to get married.
I plan to keep 191 for a very long time to come and I hope the club continues to grow and the members become closer and closer.
